Groundhog Day: Revisiting The ICU

The phone rang around 11:30 last night. Bob's mom was sobbing. His sister was in the hospital. A heart attack. She didn't know who else to call. She knew I'd be awake. She knew I'd know what to do. Could I please help by calling to get more details so she could understand what was happening? Why was this happening? Hadn't they been through enough? Hadn't we all?

A late night of texting with my niece at the hospital and my friend in Denver whose background is in cardiac care, we piece together a little more info.
