PSA (Public Service Announcement): What's The ADA?

Because of Bug's experience at a private school as a result of his disabilities (specifically Tourette Syndrome), I feel it is my obligation to inform other parents of students who attend private schools of their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title III. It seems that many are led to believe that enrolling in a private program somehow equates to giving up your rights. This is NOT TRUE. If you feel your child has been discriminated against by a place of public accommodation (private school, recreation program, health club, daycare, etc.), you can file a complaint with the Department of Justice. The civil rights of your children are protected. Unless we speak up, our children are left without a voice. It is our job to be their advocates.
