We celebrated with a little home-cookin'. The menu, created by yours truly and the kids, included a manly fare of London broil done on the BBQ, baked potatoes with toppings (cheese, sour cream, and/or broccoli florets), green salad with toasted pine nuts, dried cranberries and a ginger vinaigrette, garlic cheese bread (some creatively topped with pancetta) and a tasty 2003 Los Teseros de Joaquin Tempranillo from Murietta's Well.
Dessert was a family favorite, homemade cheesecake. I'm strongly considering having a piece for breakfast. It's the best chance I have for getting a second piece before the kids and Bob get to it.
