Wanna See Mah Bewbs?

Yeah, really. I’m serious. Well, I am. It’s for a good cause, though. And, sorry to disappoint, fellas, but there’s no nip. Maybe next time.

It’s that time of the year—BEWB FEST ‘10 is in full swing raising money for Susuan G. Komen to help fight breast cancer.

If you want to help fight this shittastic disease AND check out some of the lovely bewbs and mewbs of the blogosphere (yes, it’s an equal-opportunity contest), go vote for your favorites early and often over at Bewb Fest ‘10.

I’m #42.

Susan G. Komen's organization is thoroughly vile and evil, and the worst perpetrator of pinkwashing. :-( If anything, they encourage new cancer cases rather than fighting it. I'd rather throw money to the trash than donate to them.

As a medical writer (who specializes in cancer/oncology among other things) my opinion is that the best thing anyone can do (at least with the limited resources most of us have) to help people with cancer is to spread awareness of low dose naltrexone. It can help most types of cancer, but most people don't know about it and more trials are sorely needed.

Have you given any thought at all to what the potential psychological impact that pictures of breasts might have on a woman who has had a mastectomy? What a class-less, inconsiderate, immature thing to do. If people want to donate to a cancer fund then do so directly, through their web site. http://ww5.komen.org/donate/donate.html. or someone else's. Grow up. OK. Use the “F –word” now.

Not all of the photos feature breasts visibly displayed or even two breasts. I'll choose how I want to contribute to the causes I support, you are free to choose how you contribute to the causes you support.

You're awesome, Lotus is awesome, and there are a bunch of assholes in the world who suck the joy out of everything.

Let's come together for something positive. You go Leah!

Also I'm a very handy photographer no? And also I'm hijacking your comments to throw in my own endorsement. I'm #6! Vote for me!

I think the fundraiser is a beautiful idea. It is always inspiring when a group of people come together to support a worthy cause.

I fully support deleting stupid comments, just for the record. :)

The psychological impact? Well, if someone clicks through knowing there are pictures of breastss, I guess they aren't worried about the "impact". Also, breasts are everywhere, every day, so I'm pretty sure this small smattering of bewbs is the least of their worries. (rolleyes)

I sent in mine, too!! Lotus is awesome and I figure any amount toward cancer research of any kind is better than not giving at all, you know?

Califmom, what were you thinking? Are your kids, “Bug” and “Peanut”, prevented from accessing your blog or the website? I certainly hope so. It is a bad idea for any woman, especially a woman with children, particularly if she has any male children, to post even semi-suggestive photos on the internet. And it would seem that a photo of cleavage on a website called “Bewb Fest ‘10” (a certain attractant to most young males) would qualify as semi or even overtly suggestive. Can you imagine what his reaction will be when one of “Bug’s” pubescent or even pre-pubescent male friends (all kids have internet access these days it seems) comes to the skate park with a printed-out photo and says, “Hey, look at #42 everyone. It’s Bug’s mom!” Califmom, what were you thinking?

I can't find your BEWBS! :( I can only find the previous years of winning BEWBS. Would you make it simple for my non-cuhmpooter/blogging/internet self, pls? :)
Click the link in my post and just scroll down, babe. I'm number 42.

If anyone has a right to do this, it's you. Some people are not worth the time to read the comment. Your bewbs are beautiful. (and I am #3). Vote. Often!

Pure awesome. (and yours are totally the hawtest and got my vote).

...and "Reality Check" can get a life .... by their logic I shouldn't want to see any photos from weddings or "happy families" with both a Mum and a Dad. I would ban all photos of Porsches and declare March 1 2010 a non-day and make everyone cross it off their calandars. But you know what?? Other people DO have what we dont' got and that's OK because it's *life* honey!
