Help for Anissa: Just Do This

Some of you may have noticed a link in my sidebar below the BlogHer Ads calling for Help for Anissa. Yesterday afternoon, one of our blogging community’s most amazing women had a stroke and is fighting for her life in a hospital in Atlanta.

Anissa and I met through circumstances other than blogging, actually. We met on my husband's first day of chemo, via Twitter. I tweeted some smart-ass remark about the chairs for support people being shit. Anissa replied (agreeing) and asked what kind of cancer he had. She’d just finished going through chemo with her young daughter, Peyton. I said I didn’t know if I could do it with a child, but then again, I didn’t think I could do cancer with my spouse. But, you just do. Exactly, she said. You just do.

So, for Anissa, and for her family, let’s just do this.
