The Life Where I Play A Grown-Up
Monday, August 25, 2008 at 7:19AM Thursday night, Bug played in his first football scrimmage. Then, Hubs delivered Bug and Peanut to his mother while I headed home to pack.
Friday morning, I got to pop my Virgin (America) cherry and watch MTV Super Sweet 16 (we don't have cable at home) as we flew to San Diego. I even had leg room. For both legs. Plus, it was the smoothest landing. Like butter.
In San Diego, we checked into our kickass digs at Hotel Solamar.
Then, we went out to hang by the pool
until the bride
and groom arrived.
For the next 48 hours, we did a lot of eating
and drinking
and eating, but also some drinking.
At one point, there was a wedding.
But first, the groom had to wash his butt and get dressed.
Hubs had to iron his outfit, while I watched some more TV
and checked my stats.
After the super secret stealth ceremony, we got on the boat.
There were sisters in purdy dresses, looking way grown-up.
People were minglin', and snackin', and drinkin'.
The newlyweds were smilin' and
cuttin' the cake while
others were cuttin' a rug.
The bride boogied.
The groom danced with his not-so-little girl.
There was posing like you're supposed to,
and posing like you want to.
Laughing and celebrating
with friends
and family.
As the cruise ended,
some of the dancers didn't want the party to end.
Congratulations M & A! We love you guys.
