Sustainable Holiday Shopping

While a simple solution to holiday consumerism is to opt out, some of us are just too addicted to the gift-giving to go that route.

My plan for this year is to:

• shop at locally owned businesses as much as possible
• shop at online sources, like Etsy, which feature handmade goods (we aren't talking crocheted dishsoap shawls--Etsy has some amazing stuff)
• take advantage of Amazon's frustration-free packaging
